Summon Lion
If Mtenda Lion attacks, defending player may pay blue to have it deal no combat damage this turn.

"The lion drank that lake right up! In thanks, he gave Siti the power to speak with lions and make them leave the goats alone."

Every card you play, other than land, is a spell. While sorceries and instants are commonly referred to as "spells," creatures and enchantment cards are also spells. When you play a summon spell, it is not a creature until it successfully resolves (meaning nothing counters it). After that, you process any "when this creature comes into play" text.

Most players handle their main phase by playing a land, summoning creatures, then attacking. While sometimes this is correct, most times it is wrong. Get into the habit of playing a land, attacking, then summoning. You will have more mana and more cards in your hand when you attack. It keeps your opponent guessing.
